What is your presentation about?
Update on the use of systemic therapy in older adults with breast cancer. Focus on specific data and recommendations when treating older persons with early or metastatic breast cancer.

How do you hope your presentation will impact breast cancer research, care, or advocacy?
This presentation wants to give practical information to practicing clinicians and other health care workers on how to approach older women with breast cancer when considering or using systemic therapies like endocrine therapy, chemotherapy, CDK4/6 inhibitors, and immune therapy.

How did you get involved in this particular area of breast cancer research, care, or advocacy?
During my training in internal medicine, I strongly hesitated to specialize in medical oncology or geriatrics. Finally, I chose medical oncology but it became clear to me that every oncologist needs to be a geriatric oncologist and know the principles of geriatrics.
