Thank you for making the 2023 SABCS® a success

The San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium® started more than four decades ago as a tumor board in a hotel on the River Walk. Since then, the meeting has evolved into a multidisciplinary forum that is home to practice-changing breast cancer science. The 2023 Symposium carried on the tradition, delivering the latest in research, patient care, and advocacy.

“This is a meeting where we present, debate, discuss, and celebrate the progress in breast cancer but also honor the memory of those who have succumbed to this disease and renew our commitment to continue to strive for progress against it,” said SABCS® Co-Director Carlos Arteaga, MD, during opening remarks on Wednesday, December 6, at the Henry B. González Convention Center.

Thanks to participants, presenters, program planners, and organizers, this year’s Symposium was a tremendous success, with record attendance and a host of new features. Attendees, in person and virtual, can still access all the sessions on demand on the meeting site through March 31, 2024.

Attendance at the Symposium set a record this year, with a total of 10,874 registered attendees; in-person registration was also a record with more than 1,500 more in-person attendees in 2023 than in 2022.
